Visa is not required for staying in Ukraine for up to 90 days for:

• all European Union citizens
• all other European countries
• Japan, South Korea, the United States
• etc . (check the link below)

Note: If you don’t need a visa, it doesn’t mean that you may enter Ukraine with your national identity card, you will need a valid International passport to enter Ukraine.
